I am interested in how people flexibly use smart simplifications to efficiently solve a wide range of hard problems. I am also interested in metacognition, especially how we reason about the limitations and biases present in our world models and cognitive strategies. My research combines behavioral experiments with computational models often based on Bayesian inference and program synthesis. I graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in Computer Science and Cognitive Science in 2022 and am now a PhD student in the MIT Brain and Cognitive Science department.
