I'm interested in how humans and machines adapt skills and representations learned in the past to solve novel problems. To study this I aim at developing machine learning models that can efficiently draw from diverse and temporally distant memories for solving new tasks. I'm also interested in understanding and explaining the internal computations of neural networks, particularly LLMs. Originally from Oslo, I did my PhD working on the computational principles of generalization at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in Tübingen, Germany.
