I’m a postdoc working on the foundations of intracellular memory in regenerating organisms. I’m broadly interested in models of memory that are robust to catastrophic synaptic change, and what constitutes an ethologically relevant learning paradigm for a given species. During my PhD at UC Berkeley I studied cross-species neural representation in the hippocampus of free-flying Egyptian fruit bats, and the stability of the hippocampal code during flight. In my free time I love to play music with friends, run, and fix my grumpy 1978 motorcycle.
