My research aims to understand the computational principles that underlie human language and communication. I approach this through a combination of probabilistic modeling, machine learning, and behavioral/neuroimaging experiments. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, I earned a B.A. in Mathematics and Linguistics from Harvard, and a Ph.D. in Cognitive Science from MIT.
