I am interested in how language is processed in the biological brain and in artificial models. My research broadly spans three directions. First, I work to precisely characterize the neural architecture and functions that support language in the human brain. Second, I investigate whether the human brain and artificial models share representations and computational principles during language processing. Third, I develop biologically inspired artificial models that learn language in more human-like ways. Originally from Lithuania, I earned my BSc and MSc degrees at the University of Copenhagen and my PhD in Brain and Cognitive Sciences at MIT.
