I’m interested in how people learn new skills and use these to solve new tasks. My research combines ideas from neuroscience, statistical inference, and machine learning to understand how the brain organizes learning and decision-making in ways that makes future learning more efficient. I use models from reinforcement learning, especially hierarchical approaches, to explore how flexible motor behavior might emerge from simple learning principles.
