I'm interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms by which single cells learn and store memories. To approach this, I am studying habituation to mechanical stimuli in the unicellular ciliate Stentor. Originally from Rhode Island, I received my B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Yale where I studied social evolution in viruses.
