I am interested in the cognitive and neuronal mechanisms underpinning basic cognition, in particular how the brain internally represents external variables, and how it makes decisions under uncertainty. I aim at providing theoretical accounts of behavior that are biologically plausible, grounded in sound computational principles, and backed by experiments. Originally from Paris, I studied at École Polytechnique and completed my PhD at École Normale Supérieure, in Paris, after which I was a postdoc with Michael Woodford at Columbia University in New York.
